Structural engineer Roger Harley's Styrofoam/Straw Bale House (above and below) and garden walls were designed with a combination of straw bales and styrofoam walls. Both are coated with stucco or sheetrock and painted. The ceiling is lined with hand-died wooden beams, carefully selected, and there are fire sprinklers installed.
